Mr. Goodrich stated that
CSI does not wish to continue to publish the Newsletter in it's present format;
it has become evident that selling ad space in the newsletter is not viable
enough to cover the cost of the newsletter; it was recommended that the City
proceed with a newsletter subsidized by City funds. It was also re~orted that
4th class mailing is not getting to all residents adequately and it was
recommended that future newsletters be delivered 1st class.

Ms. Frolik reported that she contacted Ch~plin and their monthly newsletter
costs about $1,000/month for printing which is taken from their City's general
fund. Mr. Goodrich added that with printing, mailing and Ms. Frolik's time,
the City would be looking at about $20,000/year for a monthly newsletter.

Mr. Goodrich stated that Ms. Susan Beale was at the January 10 meeting and
related that District #11 Community Education would most likely help support
January 14, 1986

Page 13 of 22
