Mayor Heitman referred to the discussions regarding sealcoating <br />being maintenance or imnprov~ent and stated Council has been wrestling with <br />this issue for years; Council has to think about making sealcoating a <br />maintenance item in the budget and whether or not it is economically viable to <br />do so. <br /> <br />Don Brown - Where do the cost savings from no grading go? Believe everybody <br />should pay for maintenance; the current policy is like getting taxed twice. <br /> <br />Bill Pittman - Bowers Drive - Stated that when his area was blacktopped, the <br />residents were told that sealcoating would be paid for by the residents of the <br />area. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmenber Cox and seconded by Councilm~mber Reimann to adjourn <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Reimann. Voting No: None.
