Mayor Heitman called the special meeting back to order at 10:31 p.m. <br /> <br />~ Proposed Utility Extension To The City's Industrial Area: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City Charter requires a 60 day waiting period after <br />the public hearing before Council can take action on an improvement of this <br />nature. Mr. Hartley stated that he will make available to anyone a copy of the <br />Charter provision outlining the petitioning process, proposed improvement <br />related studies and financing options. <br /> <br />Tom Rennet - Inquired as to what would happen if bids for the improvements come <br />in above what was estimated. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that the City Charter requires reconsideration of a <br />project if bids received exceed estimated costs by more than 10%. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that Ramsey always had this provision to reconsider <br />because it is State law and not something created by the City Charter. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that the Tree Sale and Pet Clinic conducted on <br />April 26 was a huge success. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that Councilmember Reimann has been in charge of the <br />annual tree sale for 15 years and deserves some credit for his efforts. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Mayor Heitman to adjourn the <br />special Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
