Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Fire Contract With The City Of Elk River For Providing 1986 Firm <br /> Pro~ection For The City Of Ramsey: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Graczyk stated that the contract with consistent with last <br />year's. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />authorize the City of Ramsey to enter into an agreement and that the Mayor sign <br />said agreement providing fire protection for the City of Ramsey with the City <br />of Elk River for 1986. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />~ Avthori}ation Of Mayor To Sign Preliminary Application For 1987 <br /> LAW~0N/LCMR Funds: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted that the items of request on the application were the <br />recommendation of the Park Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to approve <br />the preliminary application for 1987 LAWCON/LCMR funds and to authorize the <br />Mayor to sign said application. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #22: Equipment Needs: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Resolution #86-65 to authorize the purchae of light equipment. (Refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #86~55). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley stated that all of the items to be purchased <br />are included in the regular budget but the total amount exceeds Staff's <br />purchasing authority and required Council's approval. Mayor Heitman inquired <br />if Staff feels the thermo binding machine is a worthwhile purchase. Mr. <br />Hartley replied that the thermo binding process is more efficient than the ring <br />binding; the ring binding will be used from time to time because it does have <br />desireable features. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
