APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />the agenda with the following additions: <br /> <br />Case #lA: Resignation of Mayor Heitman <br /> <br />Case #7: <br /> <br />Request for a conditional use permit to operate a <br />manufacturing business in a B-1 Business District; case of <br />Parabody, Inc. <br /> <br />Case #8: Request for street improvements to 153rd Lane. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Request for clarification on escrow amount required from <br />Flintwood Hills III Addition. <br /> <br />Case #10: Use of DNR funds granted for flood assistance. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Request to move in a house and garage; case of Mr. Richard <br />Stahura. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Cox and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Resignation Of Mayor Heitman: <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Reimann announced that Mayor Heitman has moved from Ramsey and <br />resigned as Mayor. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich read a proposed resolution declaring the vacancy and stating <br />charter prescribed procedure for filling the vacancy. Mr. Goodrich stated that <br />the acting mayor serves as mayor until a successor is appointed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #86- ~t~ accepting Mayor Heitman's resignation, declaring the vacancy <br />shall be filled according to Charter provisions and that Acting Mayor Reimann <br />shall serve as Mayor during the interim. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #86- 117. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />Cox and Reimann. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the charter does not specify a time frame for Council <br />to appoint a successor. If there were more than 365 days left in the mayor's <br />term, Council would have to schedule a special election within 90 days; in the <br />case of less than 365 days, the charter is contemplating that a successor will <br />be appointed within 90 days.
