.—• <br />• <br />7 _ <br />Task 2 — Develop Non -Site -Specific Plan for Full <br />Service, Year -Round Recycling Drop-off Center <br />Foth will develop a plan for a full service, year round facility that has <br />the following components: <br />• Basis for planned capacity, including acceptable materials now <br />and as envisioned for the future, form(s) of acceptable materials <br />(co -mingled, partially separated, processed, loose only, etc.) and <br />through -put customer visits and tonnage estimates. <br />• Recommendations for minimum property size necessary, and for <br />additional property required for expected future operations. <br />• Recommendations for minimum building requirements, and <br />requirements for expected future operations, including: <br />► Size, exterior finish to comply with zoning requirements, loading <br />and processing areas, interior layouts, safety and hygiene needs, <br />meeting room or community needs, future expansion layouts and <br />accommodations <br />► Options for a Sustainable Building (LEED or equivalent <br />standards), and sustainable practices in the operation of the <br />facility. <br />• Recommendations for optimal configurations of a site, including <br />dedicated customer and vendor traffic flow, one-way throughput, <br />turning and storage areas, etc. <br />• Recommendations for equipment needs for the immediate, mid and <br />long term uses of the facility, including scenarios for partner and <br />City operations. <br />• Estimate of base cost, excluding land and land development costs, of <br />the initial facility. <br />Task 2 Deliverables: <br />• Draft report containing the items in Task 2, including tables and <br />figures describing facility and operations. <br />Task 2 Timeline: Six weeks after kick-off meeting. <br />Recycling Drop -Off Center Analysis & Plan Development <br />City of Ramsey, MN —October 2012 <br />*Foth <br />3-5 <br />
