Cich. Voling No: None. Case #9: Fire Board Structure: Councilmember Pearson noted that former Councilmember David Bawden desires to continue to serve on the Fire Board. Mr. Hartley noted that the Fire Board structure was created by ordinance and includes two councilmembers, city administrator, fire chief, police chief and 3 members of the fire department; an at-large position representing the general public would be advantageous. Council consensus was to direct City Staff to prepare an ordinance amendment for consideration on January 24, 1989 that would add an at-large position to the Fire Board structrure. MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT a) Results of Council/Staff Workshop - Mr. Hadley noted that Bob Kjelden will be meeting with City Council and City Staff on Thursday, January 12, 1989 at 5:30 p.m. to review the results of the December 17, 1988 Council/Staff Strategic Planning Workshop. b) Meeting Regarding Airport Issue - Mayor Reimann directed Mr. Hadley to schedule a meeting between himself, Barbara Graen and Jack Ippel regarding the airport issue. c) Joint Meeting Regarding Transportation Park Systems - Mr. Banwart noted that he has tentatively scheduled a joint meeting between City Council, Planning and Zoning and the Park and Recreation Commission for January 26, 1989 to discuss transportation and park systems. d) Drainage Study on 156th - Councilmember Peterson noted that he and concerned residents will be meeting with Mr. Raatikka on January 17 at 6:30 p.m. regarding the drainage study on 156th. e) Statement By Councilmember Cich - "Even though some may think I may be trodding on their turf, as a "newby" to their group, there are some issues I intend to delve into. Not so much as to be a pain in the posterior, but to satisfy questions in my mind and the minds of the citizenry whom have expressed their concerns to me over the past year.
