Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to table <br />consideration of adoption of an ordinance for no wake along the Rum River and direct City <br />Staff to obtain input from Anoka County Water Patrol regarding the enforceability of the <br />ordinance; research the def'mitions of 'minimum wake' and 'quiet water area'; determine the <br />process involved for those property owners finding it necessary to obtain a DNR permit to <br />perform some sort of construction in order to save the shoreline from erosion. Further, <br />that another public heating will be scheduled to review the additional information gathered <br />by City Staff and notices will be sent to affected property owners. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #1: Consider Purchase Of Land Adjacent To The Ramsey <br /> Municipal Center Property: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that City Staff strongly recommends that City Council consider <br />favorably the purchase of property adjacent to Ramsey Municipal Center because of the <br />favorable terms and numerous potential needs for additional public property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to authorize <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to negotiate final terms and conditions for the purchase <br />of the Holasek property and execute all relevant documents necessary to accomplish said <br />purchase, not to exceed the terms and conditions set by a purchase agreement entered into <br />by the Holaseks and City Administrator David Hartley on February 3, 1989. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, DeLuca <br />and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: Coverage For Injuries To Elected Officials: <br /> <br />Mr. Hadtrath, Ramsey's agent of record, was present and strongly recommended that <br />elected officials continue coverage under the Workman's Compensation policy rather than <br />CIGNA, an alternative policy offered by the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson directing <br />City Staff to draft an ordinance documenting Workman's Compensation coverage for <br />elected officials in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, DeLuca, Pearson <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request For Final Plat Approval Of Holasek Addition: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart stated that Stephen and Gloria Holasek are requesting final plat approval for a <br />minor subdivision for property located east of Nowthen Blvd. and south of 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. The property consists of 24.4 acres and is proposed to be subdivided as one block <br />and 2 lots.
