City of Ramsey <br />AFSCME UNIT <br />Pay Plan <br />February 24, 1989 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Each employee who has completed at least one year of <br />service and who is above midpoint shall be eligible, <br />(and considered) for performance increases at least <br />annually at the start of the First full payroll period <br />following the employee's anniversary date of employment <br />but not to exceed the appropriate r~nge maximum. Award <br />of anniversary increments above midpoint shall be based <br />on performance evaluations performed by the appropriate <br />supervisor, recommended by tile City administrator and <br />approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Each employee who successfully completes Probation <br />and receives a satisfactory performance evaluation <br />shall be placed at not less than the applicable range <br />minimum at the complet.[on of 2080 compensated hours, <br />exclusive of overtime. <br /> <br />New employees who receive satisfactory or better performance <br />evaluations shall be guaranteed salary movement following <br />date of employment 'to a't least the ~ month rate upon <br />satisfactory completion of 1040 compensated hours, <br />exclusive of overtime and to at least the range minimum <br />upon satisfactory completion of 2080 compensated hours, <br />exclusive of overtime. At initial hire, a new employee may <br />'be placed at any level on tile range at the discretion of the <br />employer. If placed ~%t or above range minimum, <br />eligibility, (and consideration) for movement on the range <br />shall occur at least annually or at the completion of 2080 <br />hours compensated hours, exclusive of overtime. <br /> <br />Positions may be reclassified upward by action of the City <br />Council without consultation with the union.
