alt, <br /> <br />bb. <br /> <br />The mowing, clearing and grubbing of brush located within or under the drip <br />lines of protected trees shall be allowed, provided such mowing, clearing or <br />grubbing is accomplished by hand or by mowers. The use of dozers, loaders <br />or other construction or earth moving equipment for this purpose shall not be <br />allowed. <br /> <br />Replacement of Trees <br /> <br />Developers shall be required to maintain trees for one (1) year after the trees <br />are planted. Should any tree require replacement during this one (1) year <br />period the replacement period shall start at the date of replacement. Except <br />as provided herein, the replacement period shall not extend beyond two (2) <br />years from the original planting date. <br /> <br />The developer shall contact the City for a final inspection to be made at the <br />end of the replacement period. All trees not exhibiting a healthy, vigorous <br />growing condition, as determined by the City inspection, shall be replaced at <br />the expense of the developer. <br /> <br />Stump Removal <br /> <br />All stumps resulting from removal of street and park trees shall be removed <br />below the surface of the ground so that the top of the stump shall not project <br />above the surface of the ground and the stump hole filled in. <br /> <br />Nuisance or Hazard Trees <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey or its designate(s) may remove or cause or order to be <br />removed, any tree or part thereof which is in an unsafe condition or which by <br />reason of its nature is injurious to sewers, electric power lines, gas lines, <br />water lines, or other public improvements, or is infected with Oak Wilt or <br />Dutch Elm disease. <br /> <br />An evaluation of "imminent danger" means that the hazard is immediate. If <br />the property owner cannot be contacted or refuses to remove the hazard, the <br />City will initiate action immediately. <br /> <br />An evaluation of"potentially dangerous" means that a hazard will exist in <br />the near future. The property owner will be notified and should remove the <br />future hazard as soon as possible <br /> <br />Provisions for Risk Management Ordinances <br /> <br />The Community Development Office shall have in place a means of <br />responding to requests for service from the public that provides for timely <br />inspection of any reported tree hazard. <br /> <br />cc, Disease or Pest Infested Trees <br /> <br />Page 11 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
