dd. <br /> <br />The tree or shrub is harboring injurious insects or pathogens and may cause <br />significant potential danger to the community forest <br /> <br />Any tree located anywhere within the City which is determined by a certified <br />arborist to be afflicted with any dangerous of infectious insect infestation or <br />plant disease may he declared a public nuisance. <br /> <br />Adjacent Landowners Limited Responsibility <br /> <br />Trees planted along City property lines will be watered and maintained by <br />those property owners adjacent to said trees. If property is sold, new owner <br />will agree to care for trees. <br /> <br />Mature trees, regardless of caliper, may be pruned by the property owner up <br />to heights of 15 feet, provided that the cut measures no more than 2 inches in <br />diameter. <br /> <br />ee. Protection from Disease and Pestilence <br /> <br />All clearing in oak stands is done before April 15th and after July 15th of <br />each season. Any development involving oak tees on or adjacent to the <br />development area must submit a plan in conjunction with the preliminary <br />plat. <br /> <br />No person shall store or permit the accumulation of any elm wood or pine in <br />the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />That any and all tees within the City of Ramsey infected with Dutch elm <br />disease or oak wilt shall be removed from their sites and destroyed. The cost <br />of removing Elm trees infected with the Dutch Elm fungus on private <br />property shall be borne by the property owner. <br /> <br />ff. Tree Protection <br /> <br />Subdivision and development plans shall be designed to preserve natural <br />vegetation areas as much as possible. Streets, parcels, structures and parking <br />areas shall be laid out to minimize the destruction of wooded areas or <br />outstanding tree specimens. Developers of land are encouraged to designate <br />wooded areas as green spaces. <br /> <br />During the erection, repair, alteration or removal of any building, house or <br />structure, itl the city, any person, firm, or corporation in charge of such work <br />shall protect any tree in any public place with the City itl the vicinity of such <br />building or structure with sufficient guards or protectors to prevent injury to <br />such tree. <br /> <br />gg. <br /> <br />Tree Preservation During Construction <br /> <br /> A tree preservation plan is to be submitted by all developers with the <br /> preliminary plat in accordance with the Tree Ordinance. <br /> <br />Page 12 of 24 <br /> <br /> <br />
