R OF ~ CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9.20 "ZONING DISTRICTS" OF CF[4~PTER <br />9 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, I'VLI~NESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AMENDM_ENT. <br /> <br />Subsection 9.20 (Zoning Districts) shall be amended to include the following language: <br /> <br />9.20.05 Residential Development Transitioning <br /> <br /> d. 1. Purpose. The purpose of this section is to require a residential development <br />traggition plan in order to promote an orderly transition between developments which are located <br />in/. The historical platting of lands for urban and rural residential development has created <br />character elements that are difficult to intermingle when the land use densities vary. This section <br />provides techniques for reasonable methods to mitigate lot size and density impacts. <br /> <br /> 2 Transmonmg. Translt~omng is defined for the purposes Of this section as the <br />change/15etween one development and another. <br /> <br />Transitioning Required. ("Transitioning") shall be required when the following <br />circumstances exist: <br /> <br />1. A residential development proposal that results in increased density from <br /> adjacent land with an ex/sting residential use. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3 Transitioning Options. Development options are being offered to <br />facilitate the best possible land use and development pattern to connect new residential <br />developments with adjacent residential neighborhoods. The following is a listing of transitioning <br />techniques that may be use to create a reasonable transition between ex/sting and new <br />developments. <br /> <br /> <br />
