any pending application to PCA. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich advised that City Council adopt findings of fact on which to base their <br />decision in this case. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cich noted that there will be traffic hazards both with burning and with <br />exporting the trees from the site. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that cutting and chipping trees is also dangerous. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that the burning pits are a good idea but nothing has been proposed <br />to address fire hazards caused by airborne sparks. Mayor Reimann stated that he is also <br />concerned with the smoke and the safety of firefighters. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson stated that he witnessed the fire on the subject property in 1988; if <br />the fire escapes the burn area, there would be no way to prevent another major fire. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to direct City <br />Staff to draft findings of fact to deny F&R Enterprises' request for an open burning permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cich, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberDeLuca. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that F&R Enterprises' request for a burn permit will be on the City <br />Council agenda for l~uly 11, 1989. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />153rd Avenue N.W. Right-Of-Way Improvement Project #89- <br />4: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated per Council direction of May 9, 1989, City Staff has compiled <br />information regarding economic, wetland and safety impacts relating to the various <br />proposed alignments for the extension of 153rd Avenue N.W. from Cty. Rd. #5 to Cry. <br />Rd. #56. Mr. Raatikka recommended that City Council schedule a public informational <br />meeting to review this additional information. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to schedule <br />a public informational meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 1989 at 7:00 p.m. regarding the <br />proposed extension of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Peterson and <br />Cich. Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberDeLuca. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann requested that maps being prepared which more clearly indicate the various <br />alignment options for the extension of 153rd.
