MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Letter from Commissioner Haas Steffen commending waste reduction programs <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he received a letter from County Commissioner Haas Steffen <br />commending Ramsey for the excellent job it is doing in the area of waste reduction. Mayor <br />Reimann requested that the Commissioner's letter be placed on the bulletin board. <br /> <br />b) Abandoned Sorteberg well <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann stated that he received a complaint from a property owner that purchased a <br />home from A1 Sorterberg; the subject property has an abandoned well on it and the home <br />buyer has indicated that Mr. Sorterberg has not taken action to seal off the well. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that he has researched and the City has no responsibility with respect <br />to prosecuting for the closure of abandoned wells. There is a new law that came into effect <br />July 1 that would allow cities the authority to deal with abandoned wells, but this particular <br />situation occurred prior to July 1, 1989. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann directed that Mr. Goodrich's information regarding abandoned wells be <br />forwarded to the subject property owner. <br /> <br />c) Petition for improvements to Waco Drive <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann submitted a petition requesting surfacing improvements to Waco Drive. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adjourn the <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson.
