Case #2: Keep America Beautiful Annual Convention: <br /> <br />Claudia Dodge was present and stated that there is a good possibility the City of Ramsey <br />will be receiving national recognition at the annual Keep America Beautiful convention in <br />Washington, D.C. this year. Claudia stated that the Keep America Beautiful Committee is <br />requesting approval to send 3 persons (1 City Staff and 2 KAB Committee members) to the <br />convention. The cost is approximately $1200/person for registration, air fare, hotel and <br />meal s. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cich to table action on the <br />request to send representatives to the National Keep America Beautiful Convention until <br />October 10, 1989 to allow more time for discussions with City Staff and gathering <br />additional information. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request For Final Plat Approval Of Gobernatz Addition; Case <br />Of John Gobernatz: <br /> <br />Mr. John Gobernatz was present requesting final plat approval of a minor subdivision to <br />subdivide two 2.5 acre lots from a 40 acre parcel. The property is located east of St. <br />Francis Blvd. and south of 177th Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-09-262 granting final plat approval to Gobernatz Addition. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Gobernatz recalled that 177th is currently misaligned onto his <br />property versus the right-of-way and the City is intending to leave it in that alignment until <br />such time as the road is improved. Mr. Gobernatz stated that his attorney is recommending <br />that he obtain a waiver of liability from the City for any accidents that might occur while the <br />road is aligned onto his property. Mr. Goodrich suggested that Mr. Gobernatz' attorney <br />draw up a document for his review. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Cich, DeLuca <br />and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the City is liable for any negligence for anything in it's right-of- <br />way and the current alignment of 177th would be considered the City's right-of-way by <br />user rights. <br /> <br />Case #4: Request For Final Plat Approval Of Northfork 3rd Addition: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart reported that the proposed plat consists of 19 lots within the Northfork PUD; <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Park and Recreation Commission are <br />recommending final plat approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-09-263 granting final plat approval to Northfork 3rd Addition. <br /> <br />City Council/September 26, 1989 <br /> Page 7 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
