PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Ken Orttel from the League of Minnesota Cities was present and stated that each year the <br />League reviews it's insurance programs and analyzes statistics relating to losses and <br />premiums. This year the League is able to refund $7,000,000.00 in dividends to all of the <br />member cities; based on the formula used, Ramsey's refund amounts to $13,299.00. Mr. <br />Orttel then presented the refund check to Mayor Reimann. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />a) Receipt Of $500 Donation From Commercial Asphalt Company <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley reported that Commercial Asphalt Company has donated $500 to the City of <br />Ramsey to benefit the community's youth. <br /> <br />Council directed Mr. Hartley to draft a letter of thanks to Commercial Asphalt from the City <br />Council. Council also determined that use of the $500 should be placed on a future <br />Council agenda for discussion. <br /> <br />b) Christmas Tree Disposal Program <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that work is in progress to have a Christmas Tree Chipping Program <br />this year to address disposal problems associated with used Christmas trees. <br /> <br />c) Tree City USA Certification <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that Tree City USA certification has been awarded to the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />d) Electric Bills At Central Park <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson thanked Mark Boos and Sandra Ashley for researching and <br />proposing possible solutions for the high electrical bills at Central Park. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adjourn <br />the regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson and Pearson. <br />Voting No: None.
