approved.

Commissioner Deemer stated that Great Plains was granted a permit to use a
trailer as temporary office space until their operation was expanded in Ramsey.
The proposed location for the trailer was far enough off the road not to be
noticeable and not in the front setback.

Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to adopt
Findings of Fact, amended as follows, relating to a request by Master-Halco,
Inc. for a conditional use permit to utilize an office trailer for temporary
office space at 14000 Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W.:

Item #20 - Change to read as follows: 'That the Applicant has stated
that the temporary office structure would be less than 1000 square feet
in area.'

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Shumway, Deemer,
Zimmerman, LaDue, Hendriksen and Howell. Voting No: None.

Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to
recommend denial of the request by Master-Halco, Inc. for a conditional use
permit to utilize an office trailer for temporary office space in the I-1
Industrial District at 14000 Sunfish Lake Blvd. N.W.

Further Discussion: Commissioner Deemer stated that in front of the existing
building is not an appropriate location for trailer; that it detracts from the
appearance of the permanent structure and encroaches the front yard setback.
Commissioner Hendriksen reiterated that Great Plains Gas indicated they would
be expanding their operation in Ramsey; that the City should not have to put up
with a non-conforming use when there is office space available and Master-Halco
intends to move out of Ramsey.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Hendriksen,
Shumway, Z£mmerman and Deemer. Voting No: Commissioners Howell and LaDue.

Request For Rezoning From R-1 Residential To B-1 Business... Cas~
Of Mr, Loren Leininger:

Mr. Bob Muller stated that Mr. Leininger wants to rezone his property to B-1 to
accomodate a bowling alley. Mr. Muller stated he submitted a similar request
for property adjacent to this and received an Rural Business 1 from Council;
added that he has no problem with it if Mr. Leininger gets B-1.

Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Shumway to recommend
that Mr. Loren Leininger's property be rezoned to Rural Business based on the
fact that the adjacent property to the east is zoned Rural Business and that it
is in an area of Residential zoning.

Further Discussion: Commissioner Howell stated that he feels a bowling alley
would fall into the category of eating and drinking establishment, which is
allowed in Rural Business zones.

Motion carried.
I.aDue and Howell.

Voting Yes:
Voting No:

Commissioners Zimmerman, Shumway, Hendriksen,
Chairman Peterson and Commissioner Deemer.
September 2, 1986
