Commissioner Howell suggested that it would be appropriate for Economic <br />Development Commission members to also attend the September 23 Council meeting <br />in lieu of their concerns with development standards for commercial and <br />industrial areas. <br /> <br />Case #10: Set Date For Joint Plannin~ And Zonin~ And Economic DeveloDment <br /> Commission Meeting: <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commission Howell to schedule a <br />joint meeting between the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Economic <br />Development Commission for September 23, 1986 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, Shumway, <br />Zimmerman, Howell, Hendriksen and LaDue. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Discussion Re~arding Development Standards For Commercial And <br /> Industrial Areas: <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the survey of other cities' requirements for car sales <br />lots. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the need for Council support of code enforcement and <br />the need for a joint meeting to discuss this issue. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that the joint EDC/P&Z subcommittee of two met and <br />reviewed site plan requirements; the consensus of the EDC portion of that <br />subcommittee was that there is nothing in those requirements that is unduly <br />restrictive on business. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Howell to adjourn the <br />regular Planning and Zoning meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, Shumway, <br />Zimmerman, Howell, Hendriksen and LaDue.
