Deemer was acting in the best interest of the City and carrying out his duties <br />as a member of that Commission. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Howell stated that another issue to be <br />followed up on is how much of Plants and Things property is being zoned and <br />taxed as Green Acres. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Discussion Regarding Joint Economic Development And Planning And <br /> Zoning Commissions Meeting: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris recalled that Commissioners Deemer and Hendriksen were appointed to <br />a EDC/P&Z subcommittee to review development restrictions in commercial/ <br />industrial areas, performance standards, etc.; that subcommittee is meeting <br />Monday, August 11. <br /> <br />Brief discussion ensued regarding EDC concerns with performance standards, <br />streamlining the process which developers must follow, enforcement of existing <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />The Commission requested that Ms. Norris research what ordinances other <br />communities have in place that address the issue of used car lots and a summary <br />of requirements to be met in Ramsey in order to locate a used oar lot in the <br />industrial area and in the business area. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman suggested that the Commission invite someone from the <br />County Engineering Office to give a educational presentation regarding soil <br />borings, lot buildability, etc. The Commission agreed with the suggestion. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Howell to adjourn the <br />regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None.
