Permanent Signage and Pavement Marking Plans <br />Signage and striping plans will be prepared in accordance with MN MUTCD <br />standards. <br />Utility Coordination <br />Impacts to utility owners will be determined and the required utility meeting will be <br />held with the affected utility owners. At or prior to this meeting, utility owner's will <br />be notified if they have to relocate their facilities as part of this project. Any utilities <br />that interfere with the work will be relocated, and written notice will be issued. <br />Value Engineering <br />The design team will go through a value engineering process in which design <br />alternatives that will add value to the project will be considered. For example, in the <br />area of the existing stormwater pond, a retaining wall option will be studied and <br />costs estimated to determine if the addition of a retaining wall will add value to the <br />project and reduce overall project costs. <br />Stakeholder Review <br />Draft plans will be distributed to stakeholders for early review. All major issues <br />identified by stakeholder review will be promptly addressed such that critical path <br />can be maintained. <br />Final Construction Plans and Specifications <br />Final Construction Plan Revision <br />The final set of construction plans will be prepared. All comments received will be <br />incorporated if possible. If not possible, or if impractical, written responses to the <br />reviewer will be prepared to explain. <br />Easements Verified <br />The easement limits that have been obtained will be verified against the final design. <br />The touch -down points / construction limits will be reviewed and all areas that <br />extend past the permanent easements will be flagged. Easement documents for <br />construction easements will be prepared if necessary. <br />Specifications / Proiect Manual <br />The technical specifications will be prepared. The contract conditions and front end <br />documents will be identified. All necessary attachments will be incorporated into the <br />Appendix of the Project Manual. <br />Permits <br />All applicable permits will be prepared. Permits will include MDH permit for <br />watermain extension, MPCA permit for sanitary sewer extension, MPCA/NPDES <br />permit for land disturbing activities, MN/DOT ROW permit. The state 303d list for <br />impaired waters will be reviewed and the necessary Storm Water Pollution <br />Prevention Plan (SWPPP) will be prepared. A LRRWMO watershed permit will be <br />prepared. <br />6 <br />
