Mr. Broussard asked the Commission's reaction to the <br />concept and the status of extending Cty. Rd. 9116 as the development would have <br />only one access at this point in time. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that in his opinion the intersection at Puma is too <br />narrow and would require widening. <br /> <br />Olairman Peterson stated that he feels this project should go with a N3D or <br />rezoning if it is pursued. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen inquired about sewer and water facilities. <br /> <br />Mr. Broussard replied that there would be on-site septic systems and a well. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that this project would have to be reviewed by the Department <br />of Public Health. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired as to how fire prevention will be addressed. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson replied that insurance companies have requirements for fire <br />prevention that must be met. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris recommended that if the project is pursued it be under a conditional <br />use permit to allow the City more control; she also stated a real concern with <br />the area having one access and the fire hazards. <br /> <br />~he Commission advised Mr. Johnson to approach the County Highway Department <br />regarding the extension of Cry. Rd. 9116. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen inquired if Mr. Johnson would be willing to participate <br />in a trail system, if one is developed, in lieu of park dedication. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson said that he would be willing to tie into a trail system. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris noted that park dedication is only required with subdivisions and <br />l~3D' s. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley suggested that Mr. Johnson first present the concept to the <br />neighboring residential community for their reactions and then present the <br />proposal to Council for their opinions. <br /> <br />Mr. Arnie COx, Bill Jensen, Bob Sylvester and Pastor Dale Olson were present. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox stated that the Cemetery Committee has looked at expansion of existing <br />cemetery sites and development of a new site. It was determined that expansion <br />of existing sites is not feasible. Mr. Cox stated that the Committee was <br />approached by Cross of Hope Lutheran Church with a proposals for development of <br />a new site.
