Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann asked if this would be a proper vehicle for the Engineering <br />Department. Mr. Hartley answered that the department was looking into getting a van or a big <br />truck, however, the Crown Victoria has a large trunk that would be sufficient. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None <br /> <br />Case #14: Status of Candidate Landfill Site Selection <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that the Site Selection Authority has not been doing a great deal on this project at <br />the present time. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca asked if a response had been received from Mr. Tinklenberg, Assistant <br />County Administrator, regarding the EIS Technical Documents Review. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that there had been no response as of yet, however a written response is assured. <br /> <br />There is no Council action required at this time. <br /> <br />Case #15: Settlement for Purchase of two easements - 153rd Avenue N.W. and <br /> Rivlyn Street N.W. <br /> <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich stated that an agreement had been reached with Glenn F. Aufderhar <br />and Kathleen Marie Aufderhar, husband and wife for $3,200.00 for acquisition of certain street <br />and utility easements for Improvement #89-13 Rivlyn Street N.W. sewer and water. Mr. <br />Goodrich discussed the cost estimate and stated that he feels it's a fair settlement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution <br />g90-09-322 authorizing payment to Glenn F. Aufderhar and Kathleen Marie Aufderhar. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmember DeLuca, Cich, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich stated that City staff had negotiated a right-of-way agreement with <br />Bernard Wurm, owner of parcel no. 6 on 153rd Avenue N.W. in the amount of $10,000.00 as a <br />final complete settlement for the acquisition of condemnation parcel no. 6 of Improvement Project <br />#89-4. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution <br />g90-09-323 approving payment for land acquisition damages to Bernard Wurm. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Cich, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson read a letter from Mrs. Batson regarding the water problem from the <br />Sorteberg 6th Addition. In the letter she stated that Sorteberg 6th Addition is using their (Batson) <br />property as a slush dump and she feels Mr. Sorteberg should be held responsible. She stated that <br />Mr. Sorteberg should not have received final plat approval until all problems were resolved. She <br />stated that permission was not granted to use their land Mr. Pearson turned the letter over to Steve <br />Jankowski, City Engineer. Mr. Jankowski stated he was aware of the problem and that he had met <br />with Mrs. Batson.
