The consensus of the Council was to direct staff to hold conversations with Anoka County <br />relating to the scope of the consulting proposal from The Tinklenberg Group related to the <br />pursuit of funding for the Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard Interchange. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated this topic will be on the City Council's February 12, 2013, <br />meeting agenda for further discussion. <br />2.06: Discuss Dates for Joint City Council Meeting with City of Anoka <br />City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the staff report, noting the City of Anoka has proposed <br />different meeting dates since one of their Councilmembers is out of town on March 11, 2013. <br />Following discussion of availability, the consensus of the Council was to direct staff to schedule <br />a joint City Council meeting with the City of Anoka on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. <br />Mayor Strommen advised that City of Dayton Mayor McNeil is also interested in a joint meeting <br />and asked staff to follow up with him. <br />3. FUTURE TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />Noted. <br />4. MAYOR / COUNCIL / STAFF INPUT <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill stated staff has been approached by a potential senior <br />housing developer that has zoning concerns so the Planning Commission, at its February 21, <br />2013, Work Session, will focus on those issues. He invited Councilmembers to attend that <br />meeting, which will start at 5:30 p.m. <br />At the suggestion of Councilmember Elvig, the Council agreed to consider the topics of leasing <br />certification and the use of recreational vehicles on public roads, both being safety related issues. <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill requested adequate time for staff to prepare that <br />information and recommendation on a rental licensing program. <br />Councilmembers Riley and Kuzma reported on the League of Cities Training for Newly Elected <br />Officials. <br />5.
