Defined contribution <br /> <br />approved by the membership at their Annual Association Meeting. Administrative <br />expenses incurred by Board members in fulfilling their administrative responsibilities <br />shall be paid from the Special Fund. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. POWERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES <br /> <br />The Board of Trustees shall have exclusive control al~d management of all funds <br />received by the Association and shall constitute the governing body of said Association <br />with full power and authority to carry out the objectives and purposes of the Association <br />and pursuant to the laws of the State of Minnesota. A quorum for the Board of Trustees <br />shall be two-thirds of its membership. <br /> <br />All applications for relief or benefits shall be presented to the Secretary of the <br />Association for action by the Board of Trustees. Such applications shall be made in the <br />form and manner required by the Board. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. PRESIDENT'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the President to preside at all meetings of this Association, to sign <br />checks for the payment of benefits, expenses and investments authorized by the By- <br />laws, Board of Trustees or properly voted by the Association, to sign all certificates and <br />notices as may require his/her signature to authenticate them, and to have general <br />supervision over the Association. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. VICE PRESIDENT'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Vice President to assist the President and in his/her absence to <br />officiate for him/her. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. SECRETARY'S DUTY <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep a correct record of all the meetings of the <br />Association and of the Board of Trustees and of all business transacted by the <br />Association; to keep a list of all members of the Association, showing the date when <br />each person became and ceased to be a member; and to keep a correct record of all <br />monies received and disbursed by the Association. <br /> <br />RELIEF ASSN.
