Case #17: Request For Final Plat Approval Of Sorteberg's 6th Addition;
Case Of Allen Sorteberg:

Mark Banwart stated that the proposed plat of Sorteberg's 6th Addition consists of 50 acres
to be subdivided into 17 rural residential lots. Both the Planning and Zoning Commission
and the Park and Recreation Commission have recommended approval of the plat.

Mr. Otto noted that on December 14, 1989, the Park and Recreation Commission
recommended that Lots 1 and 2 of Block 1 be acquired to satisfy park dedication
requirements.

Mr. Banwart noted that a draft covenant has been established for Sorteberg's 6th Addition
that is agreeable to the surrounding property owners and Mr. Sorteberg, and will address
concerns with the standard of homes to be developed in the plat.

Kevin Brand - 8910 176th - Explained the reasoning behind the petition submitted by area
residents requesting that the park land acquired be from the northwest corner versus the
northeast corner of the plat as requested by the City during preliminary plat approval.

Councilmember Pearson stated that he did attend the December 14 meeting of the Park and
Recreation Commission and they saw no problem with revising the plat to acquire Lots 1
and 2 of Block 1 (northwest corner of the plat) for park land.

Motion by Councilmember Peterson
Resolution #89-12-342 approving
acquisition of Lots 1 and 2 of Block 1

and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt
the final plat of Sorteberg's 6th Addition with
for park land.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich
and Peterson. Voting No: None.

Case #18: Request For Final Plat Approval Of The North Forty Third
Addition; Case Of Richard J. Sybrant, R.J.S. Builders, Inc.:

Mark Banwart stated that the proposed plat of The North Forty Third Addition consists of
70 acres to be subdivided into 26 rural residential lots. Mr. Banwart noted that according
to the City Engineer's report of December 12, 1989, there remain to be some outstanding
issues in regards to the proposed plat.

Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to table
action on Mr. Sybrant's request for final plat approval of The North Forty Third Addition
until such time as the outstanding issues outlined in the City Engineer's report of December
12, 1989 are addressed.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich
and Peterson. Voting No: None.

City Council/December 19, 1989
