<br />repeal, subd. 9 read:
<br /> "Any snowmobile tha~. is at ]east 15 mode]
<br />years old and originally licensed aa a separate
<br />identifiable make as designated by the manufac-
<br />turer, and owned and operated solely as a collec-
<br />tor's snowmobile, shall be listed for registration
<br />as follows: An affidavit shall be executed stat-
<br />ing the make of the snowmobile, year and num-
<br />ber of the model, the manufacturer's identifica-
<br />tion number and that the vehicle is owned and
<br />operated solely as a collector's item and not for
<br />general transportation purposes. If the regis-
<br />trar is satisfied that the affidavit is ~,ue and,
<br />correct and the owner pays a one-time fee of
<br />$25, in lieu of the fees required by subdivision 3,
<br />the registrar shall list such vehicle. The regis-
<br />tration number so issued shall bear the most
<br />recent applied registration number. These num-
<br />bers are valid without renewal as long aa the
<br />

<br />vehicle is in existence and sha]} be issued for the
<br />applicant's use only for such vehicle. The regis-
<br />trar has the power to revoke such registration
<br />for failure to comply with this subdivision. The
<br />provisions of sections 84.84 to 84.90 shall apply
<br />to snowmobiles registered pursuant to this sub-
<br />division,"
<br /> 1986 Amendment. Laws 1986, c. 444, § 1,
<br />removed gender specific references applicable to
<br />human beings throughout Minn.Stats, by adopt-
<br />lng by reference' proposed amendments for such
<br />revision prepared by the revisor of statutes put-
<br />suant to Laws 1984, c. 480, § 21, and certified
<br />and filed with the secretary of state on Jan. 24,
<br />1986. Section 3 of Laws 1986, c. 444, provides
<br />that the amendments "do not change the sub-
<br />stance of the statutes amended."

<br />84.821. Requirements of makers of snowmobiles
<br /> . Subdivision 1. All snowmobiles made after June 30, 1972, and sold in Minnesota, shall
<br />bear the maker's permanent identification number stamped in letters and numbers in the
<br />form and at a location prescribed by rule of the commissioner.
<br /> Subd. 2. All snowmobiles made after June 30, 1972, and sold in Minnesota, shall be
<br />designed and made to provide an area on which to affix the registration number. This
<br />area shall be at a location and of dimensions prescribed by rule of the commissioner.

<br />84.83. Disposition of receipts; dedicated account
<br /> Subdivision 1. Creation. There is created in the state treasurs' an account known as
<br />the snowmobile trails and enforcement account in the natural resources fund.
<br /> Subd. 2. Money deposited in the account. F~es from the registration of snow-mo-
<br />biles and the unrefunded gasoline tax attributable to snowmobile use pursuant to section
<br />296.16 shall be deposited in the state treasury and credited to the snowmobile trails and
<br />enforcement account.
<br /> Subd. 3. Purposes for the account. The money deposited in the account and interest
<br />earned on that money may be expended only as appropriated by law for the following
<br />purposes:
<br /> (1) For a grant-in-aid program to counties and municipalities for constr~ction and
<br />maintenance of snowmobile trails;
<br /> (2) For acquisition, development, and maintenance of state recreational snowmobile
<br />trails;
<br /> (3) For snowmobile safety programs; and
<br /> (4) For the administration and enforcement of sections 84.81 to 84.90.
