Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Request for a Conditional use Permit for a Home Occupation to <br /> Operate a Retail Trophy/Plaque Business in the R-1 Urban <br /> Residential District; Case of Steven Haigh <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that Mr. Haigh is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a retail <br />trophy/plaque business in his home at 14151 Germanium Street N.W. The activity would consist <br />of clients visiting the home to select style and type of trophy or plaque to be assembled by the <br />applicant. Ms. Frolik noted that a CUP issued for home businesses are temporary and are not <br />transferrable from person to person or from address to address. She informed the City Council <br />that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of Mr. Haigh's request for a <br />CUP for a home occupation based on the fact that the operation is not a high-traffic type of use. In <br />accordance with City Code provisions, it was also recommended that the conditional use permit be <br />written for a term to expire December 31, 1993. A proposed Findings of Fact and proposed CUP <br />are included for the Council's review. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Findings of <br />Fact 4/0286 relating to Mr. Steven Haigh's request for a conditional use permit for a home <br />occupation at 14151 Germanium Street N.W. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember DeLuca requested the signatures of the people not opposed to <br />the business be included along with the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
