Inc. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Mr. Raati 'kka stated that Improvement Project #90-24 concerns Bison Street N.W. This project <br />was fin'st initiated about one year ago from 171 st Avenue N.W. to Count), Road #63. Hearings <br />were held and the project was ordered and plans prepared. The City was then petitioned for <br />improvements to the south end of Bison Street N.W. and the original Bison Street project was held <br />back so that both projects could be constructed at the same time. <br /> <br />On July 24, 1990, residents complained that the), were opposed to the north portion of Bison <br />Street N.W. being improved and did not realize that they had to submit a petition to cease the <br />project. At that time, Ci~' Council made a decision to cease both the north and south Bison Street <br />N.W. projects and initiate the improvement process all over again with Bison Street N.W. being <br />pro!x~sed as one improvement project. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that it is proposed to consumer Bison Srr,,~ N.W. as a ~uburban ~ '~ <br />s~eet wi~ two inches of. blacktop ~d four inches of Clas~ V. Bison Sxee~ N.W. would ~so be <br />realigned to its co~ct position. In addition to ~ading ~d paving it is proposed ~o re-seed the <br />boulev~ds ~d purchase easements for ~nage. ~. Raa~a sta~ed that ~wo ~temative~ ~e <br />proposed; one to cons~ct Bison S~eet N.W. as a through s~eet connecting ~o Trott Brook ~dge <br />~d the other to cons~ct Bison S~eer N.W. with a cul-de-sac 300' short of me bounds' of Tron <br />Brook ~dge and a cul-de-sac in Trott Brook ~a_~. The estimated cost to cons~ct Bison S~ee~ <br />N.W. as a ~ough s~eet is S79,100.00. The estimated cost to cons~c: Bison S~eet N.W. with <br />cul-de-sacs is S/~.150.00. As a through s,r .... there would be !4.5 umrs assessed with an <br />estimated cer unit cost or ~3.~33.17. ~is woula be mmo~ized over 10 ve~s ar an interest rate of <br />9% for an annual.ocr unit cos: of S849.92.
