CITY COUNCIL <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a public heating on Tuesday, August 28, 1990 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding proposed use <br />of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) revolving loan funds for park improvements to <br />the River's Bend Park. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Stephen F. DeLuca <br />Councilmember Alan Pearson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Anomey William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Peter Raatikka, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that the purpose of this public heating is to consider use of CDBG Funds <br />allocated for a revolving loan fund for park improvements to the River's Bend Park. Mr. Raatikka <br />explained that the City has an economic development revolving loan fund and to keep that fund <br />active, the funds have to be utilized every 18 months and there has not been any activity since May, <br />1989 in that fund. Consequently, on November 23, 1990, the City would lose those funds unless <br />those funds are reallocated. City Staff is recommending these funds be used for additional park <br />improvements at River's Bend Park. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Counciknember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich and <br />Peterson.
