Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # 13-03-057 <br />RESOLUTION TO PROMOTE THE MANAGEMENT ANALYST AND HIRE AN <br />INTERN <br />WHEREAS, it is the City Council's desire to align the City's staffing with the needs of <br />the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator is in support of promoting Mr. Patrick Brama, the <br />current Management Analyst, to the position of Assistant to the City Administrator; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator has determined that adding an Intern would <br />complement this staffing change; and <br />WHEREAS, since 2010, the City is down by 5 employees within Administrative Services <br />and Community Development and Mr. Brama brings great utility to both of these departments; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Brama is working beyond his current job class and is not well -aligned <br />with the City's internal equity structure. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Motion to approve resolution # 13-03-057 to promote Mr. Patrick Brama to the position of <br />Assistant to the City Administrator, at step 1 of the wage scale/$27.91 per hour, and authorize <br />hiring a part-time temporary Intern to work the equivalent of 20 to 30 hours per week at $11.00 <br />per hour for 6-months. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member, <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 12t1i day of March 2013. <br />
