September 26, 1990 PROPOSED FINDINGS OF FACT DANNY,S ALUMINUM PROCESSING, INC. DANIEL W. KARTH, JR. 10. That Mr. Daniel Karth, Jr., hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", properly applied for a conditional use permit to expand an aluminum processing facility on September 10, 1990. That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public hearing pursuant to Section 170.013D of the Ramsey City Code on October 2, 1990 and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. That the subject property is generally kno%rn as 14050 Basalt Street N.W. and is legally described as follows: Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat ~2, Anoka County, Minnesota. That the subject parcel is approximately 1.6 acres in size. That the subject parcel is located in the I-1 Industrial District. That the adjacent parcels are zoned I-1 Industrial. That the Applicant has submitted supporting documents as follows: - Equad Engineering letter of September 7, 1990. - Equad Engineering letter of September 19, 1990. The identified supporting documents are incorporated herein by reference. That the Applicant has improved the existing property with paved surfaces, fencing, screening and miscellaneous building improvements. Turf establishment and permanent on-site sewer handling has not yet been addressed. That the proposed use is within the City's 1990 Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA) but that sanitary sewer is currently unavailable to the site. That the feedstock stated by the Applicant consists of scrap from industrial locations, aluminum pickings from landfills and aluminum parts from automobile transmissions and engines and scrap buses.
