Page 6 of 7 <br />Perm. _ No. 22~3-89-OT-1 <br /> <br />The Permittee shall control the operation of the listed <br />sources to prevent or collect emission of visible smoke, fume <br />and particulate during al~'stages of operation including <br />opening the source for removal and cooling of materials other <br />than the recovered aluminum. <br /> <br />The Permittee shall not cause or permit a building or its <br />appurtenances or a road, or a driveway, or an open area to be <br />constructed, used, repaired, or demolished without applying <br />all such reasonable measures as.may be required to prevent <br />particulate matter from becoming airborne. The director may <br />require such reasonable measures as may be necessary to <br />prevent particulate matter from becoming airborne including, <br />but not limited to, paving or frequent clearing of roads, <br />driveways, and parking lots; application of dust-free <br />surfaces; application of water; and the planting and <br />maintenance of vegetative ground cover. (Minn. Rules part <br />7005.0550). The Permittee should note, it is unlawful to <br />place used oil in or on the land, unless approved by the <br />Agency in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 115A.916. <br /> <br />2. Ash, Residue Emissions <br /> <br />The Permittee shall control all fugitive residue emissions in <br />a manner which will prevent avoidable amounts of particulate <br />matter from becoming airborne. All residue haul trucks <br />containing dry, fine particulate matter leaving the facility <br />must be covered. <br /> <br />IV. Compliance Demonstration <br /> <br />The Permittee shall demonstrate compliance with applicable permit <br />conditions, Minnesota and Federal statutes and rules by the <br />following methods, and in accordance with the applicable <br />Exhibits: <br /> Special <br /> Compliance Condition <br />Source Determination and/or <br />Nos. Method Pollutant Frequency Exhibit <br /> <br />t, 2 Performance Particulates, When and as C <br /> Test (stack Opacity, SO: requested by <br /> emissions) the Director, <br /> Division of <br /> Air Quality <br /> <br />1, 2 Fuel Sampling SO~, Used oil When and as D <br /> & Analysis Parameters requested by <br /> the Director, <br /> Division of <br /> Air Quality <br /> <br /> <br />
