Page 6 of 7 Perm. _ No. 22~3-89-OT-1 The Permittee shall control the operation of the listed sources to prevent or collect emission of visible smoke, fume and particulate during al~'stages of operation including opening the source for removal and cooling of materials other than the recovered aluminum. The Permittee shall not cause or permit a building or its appurtenances or a road, or a driveway, or an open area to be constructed, used, repaired, or demolished without applying all such reasonable measures as.may be required to prevent particulate matter from becoming airborne. The director may require such reasonable measures as may be necessary to prevent particulate matter from becoming airborne including, but not limited to, paving or frequent clearing of roads, driveways, and parking lots; application of dust-free surfaces; application of water; and the planting and maintenance of vegetative ground cover. (Minn. Rules part 7005.0550). The Permittee should note, it is unlawful to place used oil in or on the land, unless approved by the Agency in accordance with Minnesota Statutes Section 115A.916. 2. Ash, Residue Emissions The Permittee shall control all fugitive residue emissions in a manner which will prevent avoidable amounts of particulate matter from becoming airborne. All residue haul trucks containing dry, fine particulate matter leaving the facility must be covered. IV. Compliance Demonstration The Permittee shall demonstrate compliance with applicable permit conditions, Minnesota and Federal statutes and rules by the following methods, and in accordance with the applicable Exhibits: Special Compliance Condition Source Determination and/or Nos.
