Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case_ Gl: Use Of Community Deve~lopment Block Grant K!Lnds: <br /> <br />Motion by CouncJlmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmemb~r Sorteberg to <br />adopt Resolution ~88-215 rede~ignating use of 1985, 86, 87 and 88 CDBC~ <br />funds. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Hartley stated that there are funds available for <br />economic development activites; there will also be a hearing regarding use <br />of 1989 CDBG funds in the near future. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~]7: Adoot Revised Sno~nnobile Ordinance: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that on October 25, City Council introduced a revised <br />snow'mobile ordinance for adoption. The proposed ordinance meets with the <br />approval of the Park and Recreation Commission and the Ramsey snowmobile <br />club. Mro Goodrich briefly reviewed the ordinance with Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adopt Ordinance ~88-19 which is an ordinance amending Chapter 110 of the <br />Ramsey City Code by the amendment of Section 110.01 entitled "Snowmobiles". <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Otto noted that there was a problem in River's <br />Bend Park over the week-end with sno~nnobilers and inquired if the ordinance <br />should restrict snowmobilers from more than city streets in urban areas. <br />Mr. Goodrich replied that the City can designate which parks may be used <br />for snowmobiling. Mayor Reimann suggested getting direction from the Park <br />Commission as to which parks should not be allowed for sno~nnobiling. Terry <br />Hendriksen- 15631 Ramsey Blvd. NW- Stated that the ordinance does not <br />provide relief to those residents living on county roads; unrestricted <br />sno~nnobiling has' ruined lawns and right-of-ways. Chief Auspos stated that <br />the City does not have jurisidiction over state and county roads. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden.
