Perkins stated that he would go so far as to hire an attorney to prove that
boats are not defacing the rivc~ and shoreline.

Mike Hadtrath - 14693 Wa¢o - Stated that he was one of the first residents
in River's Bend; he uses the river for fishing; he has a 25 horsepower boat
motor; a higher horsepower is needed to move a boat up and down the river;
the only shoreline damage he has noticed is when there is flooding; be has
never had a problem with wakes created by boat traffic.

Larry Koshak - 4869 l~2nd Lane - Stated that he has lived on his river lot
for 3 years and presented pictures indicating the erosion to his riverbank.
Mr. Koshak stated that he haa lost approximately 3 feet of riverbank in 3
year~ the wake from boats is adding to the problem. Mr. Kosbak stated
that he and his wife are in favor of an ordinance to control the wake and
not necessarily by boat motor size; they do think the wake condition should
be imposed in unprotected areas o~ the river. Mr. Koshak noted that there
is quite a bit of water skiJng activity in his particular a~'ea of the
river; the skiiers do not have much regard for safety and are causing
dangerous situations.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councitmember Bawden to
adjourn the public hearing.

Motion carried.
