Case ~9: <br /> <br />INCINERATION BURNING MORATORIUM ORDINANCE <br />By: Mark S. Banwart, Community Deveiopment Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On October 4, 1988, City Council directed City Attorney Goodrich to prepare a moratorium <br />ordinance, the purpose of which is to place a six (6) month moratorium on the permitting of, and <br />reviewing of burning by incinerator within the City, pending development by the City of <br />comprehensive reguk}tions of solid waste, hazardous waste ea~d hospital waste on this subject. On <br />October 25, 1988, the City Council referred the proposed ordinance to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for a public hearing and recommendation. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Commission Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />Recommend that the City Council adopt/not adopt the proposed moratorium ordinance on <br />incinerator burning. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator X <br />City Attorney X <br />City En~neer X <br />Community Development Dkector X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
