Topic: <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> Environmental Policy Task Force <br /> <br /> Sylvia Frolik, Community Development Director <br /> <br />The Environmental Policy Task Force was established by City Council appointments to work on a <br />tree preservation ordinance and wetland buffers. It was originally formed as a 9 member <br />committee: 5 residents (1 appointee per Council member), one representative fi'om the Park and <br />Recreation Commission, 1 representative fi'om the Planning Commission, and two representatives <br />from the Ramsey PONDS (Protecting Our Natural Surroundings) organization. <br /> <br />There have recently been some resignations and there currently are 5 members: Joe McDilda, <br />Michael Max, Margaret Connolly, Erika Sitz, Michael Rolfe (Park and Recreation). The Planning <br />Commission liaison resigned and needs to be replaced. There are 2 other seats vacant on the <br /> <br />At a recent City Council meeting, Council directed Staffto place discussion ofthe Environmental <br />Policy Task Force on a City Council Work Session agenda for review and discussion. <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />Will be based on City Council discussion. <br /> <br />CCWS: 11.10.03 <br /> <br /> <br />
