A public hearin9 was held <br />on June 6, 1989. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Report status of request for Conditional Use Permit to expand Ramsey Auto; case <br /> of Robert and Louis Wojcik. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that a public hearing was held on this request and the <br />Commission received comments from adjoining property owners. He asked if the entrance <br />location to Highway 56 has been determined. Mr. Banwart explained that the original <br />Conditional Use Permit for this propert7 indicated there would be an entrance only access. <br />Currently customers park on Highway 10 or use the Highway 10 driveway which causes <br />congestion. He pointed out that signs can be used to facilitate better traffic movement. He <br />also suggested that off-street parkin9 be required. The Commission directed staff to verify the <br />location of the entrance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen stated that there are several instances in Ramsey where the <br />stipulations for a Conditional Use Permit are repeatedly in violation, and it is difficult for the <br />City to enforce since a good faith effort is not being made by the applicant. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen, seconded by Commissioner Terry, to diract the City <br />A%orney to investigate wordage that can be added to future Conditional Use Permits which <br />places a pedormance bond, deposit, special assessment against the prope~,, or monitory <br />insurance in the Cit~,'s hands to cover expenses incurred for enforcement of the Permit, with <br />this report coming before the Commission for their recommendation to Council.
