Mayor Gamec wondered if Elk River has any plans to continue the trail. ParksSupervisor Riverblood stated the corridor currently ends in Ramsey. He stated he contacted Elk River regarding this and there was no response from them. He stated he did have an opportunity to take the Superintendent of the National Park Service Corridor, Park Planner, Landscape Architect, Historian and their Outreach personon a tour. He stated as a result of that, they will be advocating for moving the corridor up to the Kelley Farm and Elk River. Commissioner Shryock thought they should start targeting some of their major employers in Ramsey to promote their trails and encourage them to use the trails in Ramsey. Mayor Gamec thought that was a good idea. He noted he has seen a bunch of different groups walking when he goes to work. ParksSupervisor Riverblood stated another related endeavor is the Anoka County Bikeways map which shows all of the bike paths and trails in Ramsey. Commissioner Shryock indicated they have a lot of nice loops going through the City. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT Mayor Gamec indicated he was going through a lot of the CIP items and if there is money in some of the funds, they should do some of the improvements. He wondered if there were some things that could be done better. He felt the improvements were an important factor in the community. Chairperson Johns stated Dave Elvig wanted to bring up the possibility of a covered dome for soccer. He wouldlike the Commission to consider this for their City. Mayor Gamec updated the Parks Commission on what is happening with Town Center. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Shryock, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
