We know there will <br />have to be some covenants. Tonight we want to talk about pricing. Tonight we want to focus on <br />this public use piece — what's the value; can we factor that in. The most important piece is to not <br />get into too much detail on covenances. <br />Councilmember Strommen stated this is an interesting concept. She likes the multi - functionality <br />and the idea of not duplicating the use. You have to start somewhere but when we are trying to <br />resolve what the public piece will be valued it's hard to completely focus on price. Her idea on <br />pricing will be on solving this issue of value. <br />Chairperson McGlone called for a break at 8:20 p.m. The special HRA meeting reconvened at <br />8:24 p.m. <br />Bill Dorn suggested the HRA will be able to discuss this better in their absence. We are looking <br />for this tonight — you selling us the land at the price we are offering. That's all we can offer — <br />there's no more. If the answer is no, we will part friends. <br />Mr. Skaff reiterated we want it to be a win -win situation for everyone — and something the City <br />can support and be proud of. <br />Mr. Lazan gave a brief overview of the discussions held up to this point. From a real estate <br />perspective, it's hard to value the public component of this project. <br />Commissioner Wise asked will we be talking specific numbers. He feels the majority here are <br />concerned about the low price they have offered. <br />Commissioner Ramsey stated that the price is what it is and the devil is in the details for him. <br />There are so many variables. <br />Motion by Commissioner Tossey and seconded by Commissioner Backous to close the public <br />portion of the HRA meeting. <br />Motion carried.
