Beautiful Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to direct City <br />Staff to draft an ordinance to dissolve the Landfill Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson and <br />Pcterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cich. <br /> <br />Case ~/9: Designation Of Diseased Tree Control Area: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart stated that in accordance with the Diseased Tree Control Ordinance adopted <br />by City Council in 1988, City Staff is recommending designating a diseased tree control <br />area at this time. The area proposed for disease control is Northfork P.U.D. and all area in <br />the MIJSA boundary. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to establish <br />the area within the MUSA boundary and Northfork P.U.D., as well as selecmd <br />neighborhoods participating in the Ramsey Decentralized Brash Chipping Demonstration <br />Program, to be determined by the Community Development Department, as the 1989 <br />Diseased Tree Control Area. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Pearson noted that there could be a real cost burden to <br />an owner of heavily treed property. Mr. Banwart replied that diseased trees are going to <br />have to be eventually addressed and this year the City has the opportunity to capitalize on <br />outside funding to underwrite the cost substantially. Councilmember DeLuca inquired if <br />there are any hidden costs that have not been address. Mr. Banwan replied that it is <br />planned to hire two interns and an assistant for Ramsey Tree Inspector Bruce Bacon; the <br />wages for these persons will be covered under the ~m'ant pro,am. <br /> <br /> · D,~uca, Peterson and <br />Motion carried.
