b) <br /> <br />Concrete sidewalks across residential driveways shall <br />be constructed of 6" concrete (3A 32) design <br />reinforced with 6 x 6 - 10 gauge wire mesh and 4" of <br />compacted Class 5 aggregate. <br /> <br />Additional minimum requirements for bituminous sidewalk and <br />trailways. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Bituminous sidewalks and trailways shall use 0.02'/foot <br />minimum cross-slope or crown; 0.04'/foot maximum cross- <br />slope or crown. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Standards listed above are the minimum thickness design. <br />An independent soil testing firm shall provide recommended <br />cross-sections, j <br /> <br />Bituminous sidewalks and trailways shall be compacted in <br />place four inches (4") minimum of Class 5 aggregate base, <br />Mn/DOT Specification 2211; increase to six inches (6") at <br />residential driveways, increase to eight inches (8") at <br />commercial, industrial driveway. ~ <br /> <br />Bituminous sidewalks and trailways shall have two inches <br />(2") minimum compacted thickness, of bituminous wear <br />course, Mn/DOT Specification 2341, with 6.0% oil content, <br />compacted to 100% density, placed with a paver machine. <br />The final compaction shall be with a rubber tired roller <br />for smooth surface. Thickness shall be increased to three <br />inches (3") at commercial, industrial driveways. Final <br />compaction shall be with a rubber tired roller for smooth <br />surface. <br /> <br />Financing <br /> <br />The sidewalks and trailways shall be constructed and paid for <br />by the developer(s) for any residential, commercial, or <br />industrial project. <br /> <br />If the City constructs the sidewalks or trailways, the project <br />shall be financed through a district-wide financing method <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 435.44. Property owners in a <br />district, as established by resolution of the City Council, <br />shall participate in the financing of sidewalks or trailways <br />in the sidewalk district. <br /> <br />For any residential, commercial or industrial development that <br />is not required to provide side%~a!k as part of he stated plan, <br />but sidewalk is required on the opposite side of the street, <br />the developer(s) shall be re.~uired to pay into the sidewalk <br />fund herein established, 1/2 cf the cost of sidewalk as if it <br />were to be placed on the developer's side. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
