Police Chief Auspos and Cit.',' Attorney Goodrich noted that
the present ordinance does not prescribe hours of operation and minimum performance
standards that address health and safety issues. It was also noted that without these issues
specifically addressed by ordinance, the City would not have grounds to revoke an
amusement center license that has developed into a nuisance problem.

Council directed City Staff to draft an amusement center ordinance based on the above
discussion and utilizing information gained from similar ordinances in other communities.

Chief Auspos indicated that there is a need to also review the City's ordinance regulating
the issuance of motor vehicle sales and repair licenses.

Mavor Reimann stated that another prior'iD, should be the review of the City's ordinance
regulating multiple dwellings.

Council recessed at '7:33 p.m.

Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 7:45 p.m. and led in the Pledge of
Alle~ance to the Flag.

CiB, Council/August 22, 1989
