Chairm~n Peterson
stated that one section of the chapter, 110.143 - Growing Grass, is causing
problems. If a citizen does not comply with this code, notices are sent to
that citizen that he is in violation of having grass taller than 12" and that
he has 10 days to correct'the situation. If the citizen tmokes no action, the
City ~an contract a weed cutter to cut it and the cost would be .assessed to
the property owner.

Mrs. Steiner - 6121 158th Trane - Own a vacant lot adjacent to our home on
which there are trees, sumac and wildflowers and have been requested by
neightxDr$ not to clear this lot because it is a beautiful piece of untouched
nature and a relief from the monotony of ~anicured lawns.

Terry Pettro - 6140 157th - Stated that he received a letter frc~ the City
that he is in violation and to clear cut the property.
