Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />direct Mr. Raatikka to inform the Lower Rum River Waste Management <br />Organization that Ramsey does not support the proposed no wake ordinance as <br />drafted with size limits on boat motor horsepower and recommends <br />controlling erosion along the Rum River by the establishment of 'no wake' <br />Z o~les ~ <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case f~2: Chart~er 61~~ <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Counc!lmember Sorteberg to <br />adopt Ordinance ~,~88-21 amending the City Charter to include a chapter <br />entitled "Police Department'". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~3: Selection Of Insurance A_,ent Of Record For The City Of Ramsey: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley recalled that this case was delayed on September 27, 1988 until <br />after the election as one of the applicants, Michael Hadtrath, had filed <br />for office in Ramsey. <br /> <br />The two candidates, T.C. Field and Company and Michael Hadtrath and <br />Associates, for agent of record for Ramsey were given the opportunity <br />to explain the services of their respective companies. Both Conway Olson <br />of T.C. Field and Company and Michael Hadtrath of Hadtrath and Associates <br />had reviewed the proposed agreement for agent of record and stated that <br />they were satisfied that they could meet the terms and conditions in the <br />agr e ement. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the report and recommendations regarding agent <br />selection for the City of Ramsey prepared by Mr. Peter C. Young. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the selection of Hadtrath and Associates as agent of record for the <br />City of Ramsey for a term of three years and enter into an agreement for <br />agent of record services. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann inquired and Mr. Hadtrath replied that <br />he does not foresee a substantial price increase in his services after the <br />completion of this 3 year contract. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Bawden.
