Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #13-06-108 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY HOUSING AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (HRA) ALLOCATE $361,000 OF ITS 2013 LEVY <br />TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY AT 6701 HIGHWAY 10 NW IN THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />WHEREAS, annually the Anoka County HRA levies an HRA levy on Ramsey residents; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the levy has been used to help in funding certain development projects <br />within the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting that the Anoka County HRA utilize its <br />available tax levy for the purchase of a blighted commercial property at 6701 Highway 10 NW, <br />a project that is deemed a high priority for our community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is committed to maintaining and developing a healthy commercial <br />district within the City for the benefit of all. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. That the Ramsey City Council authorizes the request to the Anoka County HRA to <br />allocate $361,000 of its 2013 levy toward the purchase of a commercial property at 6701 <br />Highway 10 NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 25th day of June, 2013. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
