Reinhardt: <br /> <br />It is with pleasure that the City of Ramsey submits its proposal for the City of Ramsey Decentralized Brush Chipping <br />Demonstration to be funded through thc Metropolitan Landfill Abatement Fund Demonstration Project Grant. <br /> <br />Following this letter is the Cily of Ramsey Resolution #85-234 authorizing submittal of this proposal and the Project <br />Sponsors Certification. <br /> <br />Categories of proposed entry are Yard Waste Collection Innovations, Problem Materials Recovery and Recycling, Yard <br />Waste Composting and Waste Reduction Awareness. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey Decentralized Brush Chipping Demonstration Project is a program of providing cn,)ironmcmal <br />education and brush chipping services to neighborhood residents (there are over 30 neighborhoods in the cmnnmnib'). <br />This format is an innovative approach to the collection, shippin~transportation, processing and utilization of wtmtly <br />· wllgteS. <br /> <br />The environmental education and public information/publicity component of the pro,re'am will not only address the brush <br />chipping efforts, but will also include waste reduction (back yard composting and mulching of yard wastes), :cs well as <br />re~'eling as a whole.
