Court Admlnlstrator's Office has responsibility to certify <br />community dispute resolution programs. MSAC follows State <br />Guidelines for training of mediators and case developers and <br />for its program operation. <br /> <br />(~lnc I usJ on <br /> <br />Overall, the events and accomplishments of 1988 show <br />progress In promoting dispute resolution as an acceptable <br />problem solving technique and educating the community in the <br />advantages and uses of mediation methods. <br /> <br />There is serious commitment to the organization on the part <br />of many individuals as challenges of these first several <br />years are met. There is no lack either, of critical issues <br />which the organization must address in the coming years. <br />Among them Is how to best serve the ]ow income Individuals <br />whose resources in proD]em solving are sever]y limited, the <br />development and implementation of an increased, intensive <br />marketing plan, and the securing of a stable, ongoing <br />funding base. <br /> <br />It appears that the organization has a sense of where it is <br />now, where it Is going and how It will get there. The <br />individuals involved in the leadership of MSAC seem to have <br />a comprehensive perspective of the tasks to be accomplished <br />and how the organization fits into the environment of Anoka <br />County. They are creative and practical; people of vision <br />and perseverance. The organization appears to be a catalyst <br />for peace and harmony In the community of Anoka County. <br /> <br /> <br />
