No member, officer, agent, or employee shall receive any profit from the distribution or sale of beverages to the members of the club, or their guests, beyond a reasonable salary or wages fixed and voted each year by the governing body. City. "City" is the City of Ramsay, Anoka County, State of Minnesota. City Council. "City Council" is the City Council of the City of Ramsay, Minnesota and is also referred to as "Council". Exclusiv~ liquor store. "Exclusive liquor store" is an establishment used exclusively for the sale of intoxicating liquor except for the incidental sale of ice, tobacco, nonintoxicating malt liquor, beverages for mixing with intoxicating liquor, soft drinks, cork extraction devices, and books and videos on the use of alcoholic beverages in the preparation of food, and the establishment may offer recorded or live entertainment. "Exclusive liquor store" also includes an on sale or combination on sale and off sale intoxicating liquor establishment which selfs food for on-premise consumption when authorized by the municipality issuing the license. Hotel.. "Hotel" is any establishment having a resident proprietor or manager, where, in consideration of payment therefore, food and lodging are regularly furnished to transients, which maintains for the use of its guests not less than one hundred 100 guest rooms with bedding and other usual, suitable, and necessary furnishings in each room, which provides at the main entrance a suitable lobby, desk, and office for the registration of its guests on the ground floor, which employs an adequate staff to provide suitable and usual service, and which maintains under the same management and control as the rest of the establishment and has, as an integral part thereof, a restaurant. 8. Intoxicating liquor. "Intoxicating liquor" is ethyl alcohol, distilled, fermented, spirituous, vinous and malt beverages containing more than 3.2 percent of alcohol by weight. g. Licensed 0remises. "Licensed premises" is the premises described in the approved license application. 10. Malt liquor. "Malt liquor" is any beer, ale, or other beverage made from malt by fermentation and containing not less than one-half of one percent alcohol by volume. 11. Nonintoxicating malt liquor. "Nonintoxicating malt liquor" is malt liquor containing not less than one-half of one percent alcohol by volume nor more than 3.2 percent alcohol by weight. 12. Off sale. "Off-sale" is the sale of alcoholic beverages in original packages for consumption off the licensed premises only. 13. On sale. "On-sale" is the sale of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the licensed premises only. 14. Person. "Person" has the meaning given it in MS Section 645.44, Subdivision 7. 15. Principal Dad of the business. "Principal part of the business" is more than 40 percent of gross sales. 16. Restaurant "Restaurant" is any establishment, under the control of a single proprietor or manager, having appropriate facilities to serve meals, for seating not less than one hundred twenty (120) guests at one time in one or more dining rooms having a total dining area of at least two thousand five hundred (2,500) square feet, and where in consideration of payment therefore, meals are regularly served at tables to the general public, and which employs an adequate staff for the usual and suitable service to its guests and the principal part of the business of which is the serving of foods. 17. Retaih "Retail" is sale for consumption. 2
