Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #89-02- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA TO <br />RECEIVE PRELIMINARY BREATH TESTER (PBT) <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1 ) That the City of Ramsey enter into an agreement with the State of <br />Minnesota, Department of Public Safety for the purpose of receiving from the State of <br />Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT) instrument on a loan <br />basis for use by law enforcement officers to assist in the detection of motorists who may be in <br />violation of Minnesota Statutes Section 169.121 or local ordinances in conformity therewith. <br /> <br /> 2 ) That the City Administrator and Police Chief are hereby authorized to <br />execute such agreement. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 14th day of February, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
