CORE APPLICATION FOR FISHING PIER <br /> RIVER'S BEND PARK <br /> <br />By: Merland Otto <br /> <br />Backq'~ound <br /> <br />City Council directed at their February 28, 1989 meeting that an <br />application for a DNR funded fishing pier for River's Bend park be <br />prepared. <br /> <br />Attached is the application, a resolution supporting the fishing <br />pier, a sketch plan of the fishing pier, and DNR's design sketches <br />for the pier. <br /> <br />A letter from the North Suburban Advocates for the Handicapped <br />should be reviewed prior to the March 14 council meeting. <br /> <br />The City is not committing any funds towards the. construction of.~ <br />the pier. If approved, however, the city must agree to be <br />responsible for routine maintenance, insurance and operation of the <br />pier. <br /> <br />Action Required <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution supporting application for the fishing pier. <br /> <br /> <br />
